The seven-day Machame Route gives a better-paced version of Kilimanjaro’s popular southern circuit by adding a separate night at Karanga before moving to Barafu. The route combines rainforest, the Shira Plateau, Lava Tower acclimatisation, the Barranco Wall and the summit approach from Barafu.
