6-Day Mount Kilimanjaro Marangu Route

Tanzania6 daysmountain climb

Journey overview

The six-day Marangu Route adds a dedicated acclimatisation day at Horombo Hut to the standard hut-based climb. This extra day gives trekkers more time to adapt before crossing the alpine-desert saddle to Kibo Hut and attempting Uhuru Peak.

For many travellers, the six-day version is a more sensible choice than the compressed five-day programme.

Safari Highlights

  • Six-day hut-based Marangu climb
